Abstract

PT Pada Idi is one of the company in coal mining sector in North Barito district, Central Kalimantan. PT Pada Idi needs good planning and design in mining activities so that production targets can be achieved. The method used on tis research is a long-term optimization pit design planning method with minescape software application, then use the productivity method plan and the number of tools needed to reach the planned production targets. The Data used on this research are mechanical cycle time data as primary data that is calculated using a stopwatch and secondary data in the form of topographic data, drill data such as litology and stratiraphy, exploration survey, coal quality, working hours and mechanical availability tools, and specifications of the mechanical devices used. PT Pada Idi do the optimization pit of the value of SR 15 to SR 12 because it is considered more economical, so done pit re-designed. Based on the pit shape already optimized, it is get the 12.565.397,38 bcm of overburden reserve is obtained, after which do the production planning calculation has a mine life taret of 2 years. Based on the number of overburden reserves that have been obtained, then the number of overburden stripping production in one month must reach 625.000 bcm/month and do mining activities as much as 6 fleet with better tools condition. In the actual position, PT Pada Idi is only able to produce overburden of 124.389,7638 bcm/month. This is because the number of tools that work to little and only as 3 fleet. To achieve the production target planned, PT Pada Idi necessary to increase the number of fleet to 7 fleet by adding 4 exvactor PC 400 units and the adjusted number of DT
