Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

All manuscripts submitted to journals must be written in Bahasa and/or English. The manuscripts in Bahasa should include the title, abstract, and keywords in English. The manuscript content base of research or experiment result (maximum of the last 5 years), articles review, or research note about experimental methods, technology, observations, and preliminary results of experiment. The accepted manuscript has not yet published or not in the process of publication in other national or international scientific journals.
FORMAT
The manuscript submitted by following a predefined script format with a maximum 2 MB of file size. Manuscripts, including Abstract (Bahasa and/or English), typed 1.5 spaces on A4 size (210 x 297 mm), 2.5 cm margins on all sides, and Times New Roman 12-sized font. The manuscript typed with Microsoft Word (docx) program. Each page numbered consecutively with maximum of 15 pages, including tables and pictures. Tables and figures are presented at the end of the manuscript (united with the manuscript).

- Author's full name (mark * to the author for correspondence)
- Name of the institution with complete address
- Author email for correspondence
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgments (if needed)

- Tables and pictures with descriptions
Manuscripts from reviews, research notes, or preliminary results should not be written in accordance with the composition of the research script. The maximum page is 10 pages (including tables and figures). Introduction and method are written short and without an abstract. Reviews are written as a script without Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussions.

Description of Manuscript Composition
Title
Title should be accurate, unambiguous, specific, and complete. Title should identify the main issue. Title is written in bold and using capital letters at the beginning of each word except conjunctions. The maximum title consists of 15 words (except conjunctions). The manuscript in Bahasa must be accompanied by English title written in italic. Under the title, the full name (not abbreviated) of all authors along with the name and address of the author's affiliated institution. Mark * on the author's name for correspondence author. Address for correspondence should be completed with email and fax.
Abstract and Keywords
Abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. Abstract should provide brief introduction about problems, objective of paper, followed by statements regarding the methodology and a brief summary of results. The abstract should end with brief conclusion. Abstracts are written in 12 pt Times New Roman, italic, and not more than 250 words.
Keywords are written under abstract. Maximum of 5 keywords separated by semicolons (;), important for proper indexing of papers, should be given. eg various pepper; growth hormone; tailing. The manuscript in Bahasa must include abstracts and keywords in English written after abstracts and keywords in Bahasa.
Text
Beginning of paragraph begins with a 1 cm indent from the left side of the script. Sub-title are written in the center with capital letters. The 2nd level sub-titles are written on the left of the page with capital letters at the beginning of each word, while the 3rd level subtitles are written with italic and capital letters at the beginning of each word. Each subtitle are given a number (eg: 1. introduction, then 1.1, 1.1.1, etc.)
The name of the organism must be followed with full scientific name on the first disclosure. The scientific name is written in italic, while the author's name is from a scientific name and a word like var. written upright. Example: Elaeis guineensisJacq. Abbreviations are first written in parentheses after the abbreviated word. The name of an unidentified (Indonesian / Regional) organism must be followed by its scientific name in the first disclosure. Example: Keramunting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Ait.) Hassk).
Writing unit used International Standard (SI). Negative exponents are used to denoting the denominator. Example: mg L-1, not mg / L. The unit is written using a space after the number, except for the percent. Example: 37 0C, not 370C; 0.8%, not 0.8 %. Decimal writing uses dots not comma. All tables and images must be referenced in the text. The use of the mean value must be accompanied by a standard deviation.
Results and discussion are written separately. Results should be clear and concise. Results obtained based on the method that has been done. Avoid using the same data in tables and graphs. The discussion should explain in detail the results obtained. The data are discussed by comparing the data already obtained and the results of previous research. Reveal the similarities, differences, and uniqueness of your research data. It is advisable to avoid overly general quotations and to discuss published literature.
The conclusion must answer the purpose of the study. Telling how the advantages of research in terms of the development of science. Do not repeat abstract contents or just a list of experimental results. Conclusions provide clear scientific justification for research results and are likely to be developed or applied. You can also suggest further research related to the topic.
Reference
Primary literature sources: journals, patents, dissertations, thesis, and textbooks, written in the last 10 years.
- Proportion of journals of at least 80%.
- Limit the number of self-referenced (self-citation).
- Should be avoided: use of reference in reference, popular books, and libraries from the internet except for journals and from government or private agencies.
- Abstract is not allowed as a reference.
- It is recommended to use a reference setting application such as Mendeley.
The literature style refers to the Council of Science Editors (CSE): Author-Year
The literature in the text
Reference’s author is written by last name (surname) and year. If the author is more than two persons, then the first author's name is followed by et al. written in italic. If the author is only two people, then written using “&” symbol. Example:
Yusnita et al. (1997) state that one of the factors affecting root formation in plant cuttings is growth regulators.
Root stimulants such as IBA and NAA added to the cuttings were able to increase root initiation, quantity, and quality (Hitchcook & Zimmerman 1936).
References written in alphabetical order from the first author's first name. The literature with the same author name (group of authors) is sorted chronologically. If there is more than one references written by the same author (group of writers) in the same year, the letters 'a', 'b' and so on are added after the year. Table
Table maximum width is 166 mm. Numbering is a sequence. Table title is short but complete. Title and table heads use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence. Vertical lines should not be used. Footnotes use numbers with closed parentheses and superscript typed. The asterisk (*) or (**) is used to denote the consecutive level at 95% and 99%. If another real level is used, use additional symbols.
Picture
Images and illustrations should use high resolution and good contrast in JPEG, PDF or TIFF format. The minimum resolution for photos is 300 dpi (dot per inch), while for graphics and line art is 600 dpi. Black and white images must be made in grayscale mode, while color images are in RGB mode. Images are made to a maximum width of 80 mm (one column), 125 mm (one-half column), or 166 mm (two columns). The description in the picture should be clear. If the image size is minimized then all posts must remain readable.
Procedure of Publication
All submitted manuscript will send to Editorial Board for appraisal. Editorial Board has the right to ask the author to make improvements before the manuscript sent to the reviewers. The editor also have the right to reject the manuscript if the manuscript does not conform to the prescribed format.
The text will be reviewed by a minimum of two experts in relevant field (peer review). Results of the review will be notified to the author for improvement and then reviewed again by reviewers. The Editorial Board will determine the script that can be published based on the review’s result. The final script before it is issued will be sent back to the author for approval (proofreading).
