Abstract

Bangka Regency is one of the six regencies in the Province of the Bangka Belitung Islands. One of them is Pulau Tiga Bio Beach which is located in Deniang Village. This study aims to determine the index of land suitability for tourism and the carrying capacity of tourism areas in the recreational category. The study was conducted in May 2022 at Pulau Tiga Bio Beach and data collection was carried out at three stations. Data analysis is based on the Tourism Suitability Index matrix. The results of the study showed that the value of the Tourism Suitability Index for land at station I was 85%, at station II was 66%, and station III was 57%, while the results for waters at station I were 83%, station II was 85%, and station III 81%. The study conducted on Pulau Tiga Bio Beach, Bangka Regency for the mainland at station I and station II was included in the very appropriate category (S1), while station II was included in the appropriate category (S2). Analysis for the waters of all stations included in the very suitable category (S1). The carrying capacity of the area on Pulau Tiga Bio Beach is 3,511 people/day.
