This research aims to analyze the morphometric and meristic characteristics of mullet fish (Mugil cephalus) which is a type of fish that is often found in tropical and subtropical sea waters and few live in fresh water. This research aims to identify the morphometrics and meristics of mullet fish (Mugil cephalus) landed at TPI Ketapang and PPN Sungailiat. This research was carried out in April 2024 with data collection carried out at 2 points, namely mullet fish sampling at TPI Ketapang and PPN Sungailiat using the random sampling method, based on morphometric characteristics divided into 23 parts while for meristics it was divided into 9 parts. Based on research, it shows that the morphometric characteristics of mullet fish in TPI Ketapang have an average size and SD with a total fish length (TL) of 17.05 ± 0.71 cm, while the morphometric characteristics of mullet fish in PPN Sungailiat with the Mugil cephalus species have an average size of average and SD total length (TL) 19.25 ± 1.43 cm, while the meristic characteristics of Mullet Fish at TPI Ketapang with the Mugil cephalus species have dorsal fin rays D.IV.7-D.IV.9, and meristic characteristics in PPN Sungailiat with the Mugil cephalus species having dorsal fin rays D.IV.7-D.IV.9.
