Peer Review Process
Indonesian Physics Research Journal (JRFI) is a scientific journal published by the Department of Physics, University of Bangka Belitung. JRFI employs a peer-review process to ensure the quality of manuscripts. All manuscripts submitted to JRFI for publication will go through a double-blind peer-review process according to the following procedure.
Preliminary Review (technical review): The Editor-in-Chief and Assistant Editor evaluate each manuscript to determine whether the submitted manuscript meets all predetermined criteria and is in accordance with the focus and scope of this journal.
Peer Review: The manuscript first goes through a preliminary review. In initial review, papers are reviewed by the journal editor and section editors. The editor checks the suitability of the journal criteria concept as stipulated in the author's guidelines, then the manuscript is checked for plagiarism and assigned to a reviewer. Second, each paper undergoes evaluation by at least one reviewer from the relevant field (Double blind review). Blind reviewers are assigned by section or visiting editors for manuscript evaluation, which should be based on the journal's review form. The review process is carried out anonymously. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, content, novelty, and suitability. Reviewers are expected to complete their review in less than four weeks. The reviewer's recommendations are as follows:
Accept Submissions: Submissions will be accepted without revision.
Revisions Required: Submissions will be accepted after minor changes have been made.
Resubmit for Review: Submissions need to be reworked, but with significant changes, may be accepted. However, this will require a second round of review.
Reject Submissions: Submissions will not be published in the journal.
Manuscripts must be accepted by reviewers to proceed with other technical steps before being published.
The JRFI peer-review process includes several stages as presented in the following diagram:
