Feasibility Of Fishing Business Using Drift Gillnet Fishing Equipment In Nusantara Fishing Port (PPN) Sungailiat Bangka Regency

Abstract

Gillnet Drift fishing gear is a rectangular net. Operated by drifting on the surface and/or mid-water. Drift Gillnet's main catch is a high-value fish, but there is no calculation as to the feasibility of the business. The purpose of this research was to analyze the feasibility of the business of fishing using Drift Gillnet fishing equipment in the Fishing Port of Nusantara Sungailiat Bangka Regency. The data collection method used is survey method and waancara with questionnaire guide. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative by reviewing aspects of business feasibility through the approach of financial aspects. The results of the business analysis are revenue with a value of Rp. 126,280,095.00/1 year and payback period (PP) for 2.86 years. The average result of investment criteria analysis is Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp 117,569,556.00, Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C) value of 1.33 and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 21.98%. This means drift gillnet fishing equipment business in PPN Sungailiat is worth running.
