Abstract

The development of technology is currently increasing rapidly, people expect tools that can help human work, for that technology is a necessity for humans. One of the things that needs to be realized is to make a tool that can do the job of watering chili plants automatically. This tool aims to replace manual work to be automatic. The benefit of this tool is to facilitate human work in watering chili plants. This tool uses a soil moisture soil sensor that functions as a detector and sends commands to the ATmega328 microcontroller to turn on the relay driver so that the pump can water as needed automatically. The making of this tool is done by designing, making and implementing system components which include ATmega328 microcontroller as a controller, relay driver to turn on and off the water pump, LCD (Cristal Display liquid) to display the score of soil moisture. The results prove that the tool made can work well and can be developed as expected. The tool can function when the soil moisture is above 1003 PH, but does not function if the soil moisture is less than 345 PH.
