This research focuses on the development of ecotourism in Pelawan Forest, Central Bangka Regency, by adopting the healing forest concept as an effort to revitalize the area. The study aims to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) in order to formulate sustainable strategies for ecotourism planning. Data were collected through field observations, interviews with stakeholders, questionnaires, and document reviews, then analyzed using qualitative methods integrated with SWOT analysis. The results indicate that Pelawan Forest possesses unique ecological and cultural values, including the rare Pelawan tree and Pelawan honey, which serve as the main attractions for ecotourism. However, challenges such as limited facilities, low promotion, and potential environmental degradation remain significant. On the other hand, opportunities lie in the growing trend of nature-based tourism, government support, and community participation. Threats include land-use change, weak regulation enforcement, and external competition from other ecotourism destinations. The findings suggest that a healing forest-based ecotourism strategy can enhance visitor experiences, promote conservation, and improve local community welfare, provided that integrated management and stakeholder collaboration are strengthened. This study contributes to sustainable tourism planning by offering insights into how local natural resources can be preserved while generating socio-economic benefits for surrounding communities.
