PERHITUNGAN DIAMETER POROS PENUNJANG HUB PADA MOBIL LISTRIK TARSIUS X3 BERDASARKAN ANALISA TEGANGAN GESER DAN FAKTOR KEAMANAN
Abstract
Abstract
Electric car called Tarsius X3 was made by students of Mechanical Engineering Dpartment University of Bangka Belitung. The car is using 2 electric motors with a capacity of each 1 kw transmitted separately by 2 chains and sprockets to the rear wheel drive shaft. The material of rear wheel drive shaft is ductile that have a yield strength of 622.46 N/mm2. The construction of shaft is separate between the rear drive rear axle right and the left rear drive shaft. The wheel drive shaft receives a maximum normal of 645.82 N and the maximum torque that caused by wheel is 68,469 Nmm. The type of loading on shaft is shock load. Based on manually calculations using maximum shear stress theory or Tresca or Guest theory, the maximum shear stress is 26.65 N/mm2 and safety factor of 23.35 on hub that is used to connect wheel with rear driving axles. The value of the safety factor that occurs is above the standardized value of the security factor. To satisfy the standard of safety factors, the shaft has to be recalculated to find the minimum and maximum diameters. By using manually calculation, minimum diameter of shaft is 20.25 mm and maximum shear stress is 51,87 N/mm2 to fulfill safety factor 12. The maximum diameter of shaft is 12,16 mm and minimum shear stress is 38,91 N/mm2 to fulfill safety factor 16.
