Massive study has been done worldwide to reduce energy consumption for compressor based air conditioning (AC) system. This study is subjected to investigate the use of solid dry pad as pre-air cooling for AC system. In this study, solid dry pad would be placed in the evaporator and condenser inlet air side. This placement was objected to give a pre-cooling effect for evaporator and condenser inlet air, so then the compressor could be operated with a lower power consumption. The experiment would be carried out within three level air mass flowrate of 0.293 kg/s; 0.319 kg/s; and 0.359 kg/s, for air velocity of 2.2; 2.4; and 2.7 m/s respectively, the cooling cabin is set into 30oC using a heater as a cooling load. As a results, it could be revealed that at the highest air mass flowrate of 0.359 kg/s, it could achieved the lowest compressor power consumption of 0.44 kW, within a higher cooling capacity of 2.625 kW, a higher condenser heat rejection of 3.622 kW and also higher COP of 5.9. In this welding process, a welder has a manual called WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). The role of WPS in welding is very important, this is because WPS is made to achieve good welding results and according to what is desired. Therefore, research regarding the suitability of WPS with welding results was carried out. This study uses an experimental method by performing GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) welding in the 1G position and the test process is carried out with a bending test. This bending test process is carried out to find out whether the WPS used is in accordance with the desired results or not. In the bending test results that have been carried out by welding experiments twice, the bending test results are 3.528 kN/mm 2 . In this welding process, more optimal results were obtained using the amperage parameters of 94A – 106A and a voltage of 23 V – 25 V. Pengukuran suhu biasanya dijumpai di lapangan menggunakan termometer air raksa atau sensor suhu yang memiliki <em>display</em> digital dan dicatat manual. Pengukuran suhu dengan menggunakan cara ini mulai ditinggalkan karena untuk mengetahui kinerja suatu mesin dibutuhkan data yang banyak agar dapat diperoleh kinerja mesin yang akurat. <em>Data logger</em> adalah alat yang sering dijumpai dalam pengukuran suhu baik di laboratorium-laboratium teknik di kampus maupun industri. <em>Data logger</em> merupakan alat ukur suhu yang termutakhir hari ini. Hanya saja <em>data logger</em> yang tersedia di pasaran masih mahal sehingga butuh biaya lebih untuk membelinya. Arduino merupakan mikrokontroler dengan harga yang terjangkau dan dapat disambungkan dengan berbagai sensor dan dapat dirancang layaknya seperti <em>data logger</em>. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah rancang bangun dengan mengembangkan termokopel <em>data logger</em>. Competency in the alignment of gears and bearings is very much needed for prospective mechanics in the industry. The purpose of making this tool is as a simulation tool for learning alignment to achieve straightness and centricity between two rotating shafts (drive and driven shaft) to prevent friction, vibration, and other problems that can reduce tool life and, of course, increase expenditure costs. for repair or replacement of heavy equipment. In the process of designing this alignment tool, a drive method is used in the form of a sprocket and chain, where the link between the drive motor and the shaft to be moved is the sprocket and chain method. This research serves to help produce a design by considering the user's perspective so that the design results can be useful effectively. From the test results, the gear alignment setting tool can function well with the help of an inverter so that motor rotation can be reduced and can be controlled according to the desired conditions. Water hyacinth is a biomass that grows rapidly in Indonesia, but its energy density is still low. This research aims to improve the characteristics and calorific value of water hyacinth biomass using torefaction process. In this study, water hyacinth was subjected to a torefaction process with temperature variations of 200 ℃, 250 ℃ and 300 ℃ and a holding time of 1 hour. ¬The biochar resulting from the torefaction process is then made into briquettes using tapioca starch adhesive, with a ratio of 10% of the weight of the raw material, and pressing at a pressure of 300 kg/cm2. From the research and testing that has been done, the proximate test results obtained the lowest moisture content of 5.75% in the 300 ℃ sample, the lowest ash content of 17.65% in the 200 ℃ sample, the lowest volatile compounds of 39.52% in the 300 ℃ sample and the highest fixed carbon of 25.92% in the 300 ℃ sample. The highest heating value was produced in the 300 ℃ sample which amounted to 5140.44 cal/g. The lowest Shatter Index was 1.68% in the 300 ℃ sample. The most optimal burning rate of briquettes in the 300 ℃ sample was 0.085 g/min with a duration of 47 minutes. Salah satu prosesnya yaitu memindahkan kaleng menuju twister minimal 1200 pcs/jam untuk jenis 400 gram dan minimal 600 pcs/jam untuk jenis 600 dan 800 gram. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, maka perlu dibuat sebuah rancangan mesin palletizing untuk memindahkan tumpukan kaleng menuju twister secara otomatis. Mesin yang dirancang harus mampu menahan beban dari tumpukan kaleng pada saat proses memindahkan kaleng menuju twister. Proses perancangan menggunakan metodologi VDI 2206 dari mulai menetapkan requirement, system design, domain-spesific design, system integration, verification/validation, sampai dengan menghasilkan produk. Hasil proses perancangan telah menghasilkan sebuah rancangan yang mampu memindahkan kaleng menuju twister sebanyak 1500 pcs/jam untuk jenis kaleng 400 gram dan 810 pcs/jam untuk jenis kaleng 600 dan800 gram. In the process of producing water through the intake pump there are several components of the intake pump that often experience damage, this can be a loss for the company, therefore requiring additional processing. In this study, the Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) method was carried out to achieve optimal maintenance by knowing the impact and risk of failure according to important intake pump components, namely impeller, bearing and shaft. Based on the analysis results of the RBM calculation, the consequences of risks accepted is low to 0.05% by the company that achieved to 221,498,196.507 Indonesian rupiah it’s to 0.13% of production capacity per year. This value exceeds the acceptance risk tolerance of 0.13% which has become a company provision. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in cutting angle and cutting speed on the material consumption rate of SCM 440. The method used in this study is the Response Surface Methodology (RSM), with a two-parameter design, each of which has three levels for each parameter variation. . The results of data analysis obtained eigen values ​​with different signs (positive and negative) which indicated that the stationary point values ​​were in the form of saddle points with a stationary point values of x<sub>1</sub> (cutting angle) of -1.686 and x<sub>2</sub> (Vc) of 0.199. From the uncoded process, the optimal value for the MRR factor is obtained, namely the cut angle of 10.64</em><em>°</em><em> and Vc of 15.28 m/min. This change entails improving engine rotation in addition to changing engine mechanics and parts. The engine was tested at 350 rpm, 425 rpm, and 500 rpm during the experimental phase. According to the data, 350 rpm is the ideal engine speed for separating green bean seeds from the pod skin, with a differential capacity of 54 kg/hour. When ninety percent of the green bean seeds are undamaged and out of the pod skin, they are combined with other components. This machine may serve as a commercial solution to improve the quality and efficiency of processing green bean seeds. These encouraging outcomes highlight how important technology is to the agro-industrial and agricultural sectors. The research method is an experimental method with variations in fiber treatment by soaking in liquid smoke for 1, 2 and 3 hours. Next, after soaking the fiber, it is heated in an oven at 40ºC for 30 minutes, then the resulting fiber morphology is observed using a JEOL JCM 6000 SEM tool &nbsp;&nbsp;then SSK reinforced composites are made for acoustic testing, specimen making is done by preparing resin and long fibers. 1 cm fiber, 60% resin composition and 40% SBP, after drying a composite acoustic test specimen was made.
