Abstract

This research aims to determine the interest of the people of Pangkalpinang City in sea fish as a food ingredient for daily consumption. The results of this research can be a reference for government policymaking, food entrepreneurs, fish farmers, and fishermen in providing fish in Pangkalpinang City. This research was conducted in October 2023. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires that respondents could fill in directly. This research involved 66 respondents from the people of Pangkalpinang City. Most respondents stated that they consumed seafish, 60 respondents or 90.6%, while 72.48% or 48 respondents also consumed freshwater fish. The types of seafish consumed are dominated by Tengiri Fish, Tuna Fish, and other fish besides Mackerel, Siingkur, Anchovies, and Ciu.
