Focus and Scope

Ekotonia: Jurnal Penelitian Biologi, Botani, Zoologi dan Mikrobiologi publishes peer-reviewed research and review articles of special importance and broad interest in any area of botany, zoology, and microbiology (such as plant growth; reproduction; metabolism; plant development; plant evolution; comparative anatomy; animal psychology; molecular biology; ethology; behavioral ecology; evolutionary biology; taxonomy; paleontology; bacteria; fungi; microscopic algae; protozoa; archaea and etc.)

 

Peer Review Process

The peer review process for every article submitted to Ekotonia: Journal involves an initial evaluation by the Editorial Board to determine its suitability for the journal’s scope and basic requirements.

Manuscripts that pass this stage are assigned to two peer reviewers for a double-blind review process. Reviewers assess the manuscripts based on substantive and technical aspects, including originality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field. Following the review, authors may be requested to revise and resubmit their manuscripts.

The entire review process typically takes up to one month. The peer reviewers associated with Ekotonia are experts in relevant fields, with extensive experience in scholarly publication and journal management at both national and international levels.

This journal offers free and instant access to all its content because we believe that making research available to everyone helps share knowledge around the world. Every article published here is always free to read and download. We keep working with our authors to find the best ways to share and use the work.

 

Author Fees

When you send an article to the Ekotonia Journal, there are no fees for processing your article. This means there is no cost for submitting, reviewing, editing, publishing, keeping the article safe, or storing it for the future. Also, everyone can read the full text of the article right away.
