Perbandingan Akumulasi Logam Berat (Timbal dan Tembaga) Di Akar, Daun dan Sedimen Pada Mangrove Sonneratia alba Di Pantai Tanjung Bunga dan Pantai Koala Pangkalpinang

Mangroves have the ability to absorb and store heavy metals such as lead (Pb) and copper (Cu) from the environment.
Heavy metals that enter the environment at certain concentrations can be neutralized by hyperaccumulator plants, one of
which is mangroves. The objective of this study is to determine the comparison of heavy metal accumulation (lead and
copper) in the roote, leaves and sediments of Sonneratia alba mangroves at Tanjung Bunga Beach and Koala
Pangkalpinang Beach. The study was conducted in April 2025 at two locations: Tanjung Bunga Beach and Koala
Pangkalpinang Beach. The methods used in this study were descriptive methods and the sampling method employed was
purposive sampling. The analytical method used to measure the concentrations of heavy metals Pb and Cu in sediment,
roots and leaves of mangroves was Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The analysis results
showed that the heavy metal Pb content in the roots, leaves and sediments of Sonneratia alba mangrove at Tanjung Bunga
Beach was 0,614 mg/kg, 0,726 mg/kg and 15,7 mg/kg, respectively, while the heavy metal Pb content in the roots, leaves
and sediments of Sonneratia alba mangroves at Koala Beach was 1,143 mg/kg, 0,270 mg/kg and 10,8 mg/kg, respectively.
The results indicate that Sonneratia alba mangroves have only a slight ability to absorb heavy metals Pb and Cu.
