PENGARUH PERUBAHAN TEMPERATUR PADA PROSES QUENCHING PARTITIONING TERHADAP MIKROSTRUKTUR DAN KEKERASAN BAJA JIS SKD 11

Aplikasi dari baja perkakas JIS SKD 11 sebagai material cetakan memegang peranan strategis dalam dunia industri. Untuk memperoleh baja perkakas kualitas tinggi, salah satu caranya adalah dengan mengatur perlakuan panas. Pada penelitian ini, material baja perkakas diatur perlakuan panasnya dengan Quenching Partitioning (QP). Variabel yang digunakan adalah perubahan temperatur perlakuan panas, dengan menahan temperatur kuens pada suhu 100oC dan 150oC yaitu antara suhu Ms dan Mf. Dalam penelitian ini disimpulkan perlakuan QP memberikan pengaruh sifat mekanis dan mikrostruktur baja JIS SKD 11. Nilai kekerasan baja pada perlakuan QP pada penelitian ini sanggup meningkatkan kekerasan 5-7 HRC. Perubahan dimensi setelah perlakuan panas pada QP perubahan dimensi mengalami penambahan/mengembang 0.02 mm. Pada proses QP terbentuk fasa martensit dan austenit sisa.
