Journal of Aquatropica Asia (JoAA) is an open access scientific periodical managed by the Department of Aquaculture, Bangka Belitung University. JoAA was first published in 2014. The journal was published regularly until volume 3 in 2016. However, there was a lack of publication between 2017 - 2018 and it was published again in 2019 until now. JoAA has been accredited as Sinta 3 from Vol. 6 No. 2 (2021) to Vol. 11 No. 1 (2026) based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 177/E/KPT/2024 concerning the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for the Second Period of 2024, enacted on October 15, 2024.

JoAA Journal involvement is carried out 2 (two) times a year, namely in July and December in the form of the main manuscript is an article that contains the results of research (research articles). Other manuscript contributions can be in the form of short articles (short communication), articles review, and also special issues. Articles received will be reviewed by reviewers managed by the Editor in Chief before the manuscript is accepted and approved for publication in JoAA. Based on Rector Decree of UBB Number 7.30/UN50/KU/IV/2025, the publication fee for the Journal of Aquatropica Asia (JoAA) is set at IDR 1,000,000 (One Million Rupiah), effective starting from Volume 10 Number 2, 2025.
