Journal of Tropical Marine Science (JTMS) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Marine Science Universitas Bangka Belitung which dedicated to published highest quality of research papers and reviews on all aspects of tropical marine such as oceanography, marine biology, marine conservation, marine culture, marine geology, marine instrumentation and etc.
Publication in JTMS is without charge; all published articles are available online through open access. Authors should refer to Authors Guidelines for details on how to prepare their manuscript ; submission is performed via the online submission system.
Publish schedule for each year: April and October.

Current Issue
Journal of Tropical Marine Science (JTMS), Volume 9 Issue 1 (2026), presents selected articles that reflect recent advances in tropical marine science research. This issue highlights strategic themes, including aquatic environmental quality, sustainable coastal resource management, aquaculture, biodiversity, and the application of innovative approaches such as satellite imagery and environmental DNA (eDNA) in marine studies.
Overall, this issue reaffirms JTMS’s commitment to publishing high-quality research that advances scientific knowledge and supports the sustainable management of tropical marine resources.
