Abstract

Aquatic environment influences squid hatching rates. Hatching eggs is purpose to keep the availability stock squid. The research has been done in March – April 2017. This research aims to evaluate the effect of salinity for squid eggs hatching rate. The method used in this research was experiment. The research was in Aquaculture Hatchery, Faculty of Agriculture, Fishery and Biology of TheUniversity of Bangka Belitung. The squid eggs was from the the Sea of Riau Silip (Tuing village). The squid eggs data and hatching time were analyzed descriptively. Hatching Rate, mortality, increase of squid eggs and water quality were analyzed with ANOVA. The result showed that the fastest hatching time on the salinity was 32 g/l  and the lowest salinity was 24 g/l  . The Results of best hatching rate on the salinity was 28 g/l  and 32 g/lwith the value of each salinity were 96 % ± 6,10  and 92,67 % ± 6,89. The squid larva mortality was highest at salinity 24 g/l  with the value was 77,1 % ± 16,26 and The lowest on the salinity was 28 g/l  with the value was 4,1 % ± 2,88.
